Accra, Ghana - The Accra Girls Old Student Association hosted a transformative empowerment workshop aimed at preparing young women for future leadership and professional success. Led by Evelyn Alabi, Chairperson of the  Celebrating Year Group, the event focused on equipping female students with critical career guidance and practical skills.

The workshop, themed "Raising Visionary Ladies for Ethical Leadership, Innovation in a Changing World," brought together professionals from diverse fields to mentor second-year students. Participants included medical doctors, lawyers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and educators who shared their personal journeys and professional experiences.

According to Dr.Oboshie Anim the key highlight of the event was a comprehensive career and mentorship fair where students gained insights into various career paths. Representatives from multiple universities, including the University of Ghana, Ashesi University, and Academic City, provided detailed information about admission requirements and potential academic opportunities.

Dr. Oboshie, a nurse and lecturer at the University of Ghana, emphasized the workshop's core message: education is fundamental to personal and professional growth. "Never give up whatever challenge you are facing," she advised the students. "Take it as a stepping stone and move forward."

The event underscores the Accra Girls Old Student Association's commitment to nurturing the next generation of female leaders through mentorship, education, and skill development.

In addition to career guidance, the workshop incorporated practical skills training. Students learned soap-making as an entrepreneurial skill, demonstrating the program's holistic approach to empowerment. The goal is to provide students with both professional knowledge and practical abilities that can support their future economic independence.
