Do Not Pay to Get Your Rotation Allowance - Nurses and Midwives Leadership Warns Against Fraudsters

The leadership of Nurses and Midwives in Ghana has warned Rotation Nurses and Midwives against paying money to individuals and facilities claiming they can facilitate or expedite the payment of their rotation allowances.

In a statement signed by its President, Kuuyelleh Reuben, and General Secretary, Digilituo Yussif Gifty, the leadership said its attention had been drawn to reports that certain individuals and facilities are demanding monies from Rotation Nurses and Midwives under the pretext of facilitating allowance payments.

The leadership stated unequivocally that the Ministry of Health (MoH) does not charge any fee, directly or through its staff, for the processing or payment of allowances.

"Any person who pays money to any individual or group claiming to facilitate allowance payments does so at their own risk," the statement said.

All Rotation Nurses, Midwives and the general public are therefore urged to stay vigilant and desist from engaging such persons.

Anyone who encounters such fraudulent demands should report immediately to their respective Regional Executives for prompt action.

Members were also strongly advised to rely solely on authentic communications from official platforms.

The leadership reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the welfare of all Nurses and Midwives and ensuring absolute transparency in all official processes.
