The Adentan Municipal Assembly has organised a Town Hall Meeting aimed at rendering accounts to residents on its stewardship and development projects in the municipality.
The meeting, held at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Good shepherd Amanfro under Ghana's Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) to promote grassroots participation and transparency in local governance.
Addressing the gathering, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Ella Esiman Nongo, gave a detailed account of projects executed by the Assembly in the past year, including road rehabilitation, construction of classroom blocks, improvement in sanitation, revenue mobilization and interventions in health and education.
She said the Town Hall Meeting was in line with the Assembly's commitment to transparency, accountability and participatory governance, where residents are given the opportunity to ask questions and make inputs into the Assembly's plans.
The Member of Parliament for Adentan constituency, Hon Mohammed Adamu Mohammed assured the gathering that he is going to work closely with the MCE in ensuring that the road deficit confronting the municipality will be a thing of the past
Hon Mohammed Adamu Ramadan hinted that he is going to Illuminate the constituency by providing street lights to Assembly members through his commitment to help improve security.
