Accra, Ghana - Minister of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare has praised staff for their commitment and resilience, highlighting the importance of Christmas values in the ministry's work.

Speaking at the ministry's Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, Ofosu-Adjare emphasized that the values of hope, humility, service, and renewal resonate strongly with the ministry's mandate. "Our work centers on supporting enterprise, strengthening agribusiness, promoting industry, and facilitating trade in ways that improve livelihoods and advance national development," she said.

The minister expressed gratitude to staff for their hard work, acknowledging that many contributions happen quietly and behind the scenes. "Your efforts have contributed meaningfully to the performance of the ministry and its agency," she stated.

Ofosu-Adjare also fulfilled a promise made when she assumed office, presenting two staff buses to address commuting challenges. "This is a modest but practical expression of appreciation for your dedication," she said.

The minister encouraged staff to use the holiday period for rest, reflection, and renewal, recognizing them as individuals with families and personal responsibilities. "I am confident that through sustained collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared sense of purpose, we will continue to make steady progress in the delivery of our mandate," she said.

In a tangible demonstration of appreciation, Minister Ofosu-Adjare handed over two staff buses to address daily commuting challenges, a promise made when she assumed office. This gesture underscores the ministry's commitment to staff welfare and recognizes the day-to-day challenges faced by employees.

The minister also announced bonuses for all staff members, approved by the Deputy Minister and herself, recognizing the team's dedication and hard work. "This financial recognition serves as a concrete acknowledgment of your efforts," she said.

Ofosu-Adjare's speech was deeply philosophical, connecting Christmas values to the ministry's core mission. "Our work is about supporting enterprises, strengthening agribusiness, promoting industry, and facilitating trade - all with the goal of improving livelihoods and advancing national development," she emphasized.

Looking ahead, the minister expressed confidence in the team's ability to progress, citing sustained collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared sense of purpose as key to overcoming challenges. "Together, we can achieve great things," she said.

In a compassionate moment, Ofosu-Adjare encouraged staff to use the holiday period for personal renewal, recognizing staff as individuals with families and personal responsibilities. "Take time to rest, reflect, and reconnect with loved ones," she said.

The gathering showcased a progressive model of public service management, blending administrative efficiency with emotional intelligence, and recognizing staff contributions. The ministry is poised for continued growth, driven by a motivated team.
