Ghanaian-owned lottery operator GamePark Lottery has expanded its operations to digital platforms as part of efforts to make lottery services more accessible to customers nationwide while promoting responsible gaming.

The company has introduced web, mobile and USSD channels that allow customers to participate in lottery draws conveniently from different locations without visiting a physical outlet.

The digital rollout coincides with the launch of GamePark’s “Play, Win, Drive” promotional campaign, which offers participants the chance to win a brand-new 2026 Toyota Hilux as the grand prize.

Speaking at the launch, Executive Director of GamePark Lottery, Mrs. Biwei Bright, said the company remains committed to contributing to national development through job creation, tax contributions and support to the National Lottery Authority (NLA).

“GamePark Lottery contributes revenue to the NLA, which supports national development initiatives. We also fulfill our tax obligations to the Ghana Revenue Authority and continue to create employment opportunities for Ghanaians,” Mrs. Bright said.

She emphasized that integrity and transparency remain central to the company’s operations, noting that all lottery draws are conducted under strict procedures to guarantee fairness and accountability.

According to her, regulators have consistently expressed satisfaction with the company’s compliance practices and commitment to industry standards.

Director General of the National Lottery Authority, Mr. Salam Abdul-Mohammed, commended GamePark Lottery for operating within the regulatory framework governing lottery activities in Ghana.

However, he urged all lottery operators to prioritize responsible gaming and cautioned participants against excessive spending.

“Players should not use money meant for essential needs, including children’s school fees and other household expenses, for gaming activities,” Mr. Abdul-Mohammed advised.

He stressed that while lottery participation can provide entertainment and opportunities for winning, responsible choices are necessary to prevent negative social and financial consequences.

The move by GamePark Lottery reflects a broader shift within Ghana’s lottery industry, where operators are increasingly adopting digital platforms to improve customer access.

Industry stakeholders say the expansion balances innovation with transparency, regulation and responsible participation, as more Ghanaians turn to mobile and online channels for services.

GamePark said it will continue to work closely with the NLA and other regulators to ensure its digital platforms meet the highest standards of security and consumer protection.
