The IDENTRA Ghana Foundation has launched the 'Identra Cares - Digital Future Initiative', a national initiative aimed at strengthening digital learning in Ghanaian schools. The initiative is a deliberate and structured step towards equipping schools with the tools required to participate in the modern world.
Prince Biden, founder CEO IDENTRA TECHNOLOGIES BUREAU, emphasized the importance of digital access in education, stating, "Education without technology today is incomplete. And any serious commitment to the future must include digital access at the school level."
Speaking at the press conference, Prince Biden framed the effort as a timely response to Ghana’s transition into a digital era, saying access to technology will determine who can fully participate in the global economy. The initiative’s initial phase—developed in partnership with Identical Technologies Bureau, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, members of Parliament, and the Ghana Education Service—will deploy 200 laptops and 150 educational iPads to selected schools across the Gold Coast region.
The devices are intended not just as symbols but as practical learning tools that students and teachers can use, share, and build upon over time. Organizers emphasized that the program seeks to integrate digital assets into everyday teaching, with the broader aim of improving digital literacy and preparing a generation of learners for future opportunities in technology and innovation.
Key components of the initiative include coordination with government education authorities to select beneficiary schools and plans to support the sustainable use of devices in classrooms. While the announcement detailed device counts and partners, organizers noted that further operational details—such as teacher training, device management, and content curation—will be developed in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service and other stakeholders.
The launch reflects a larger vision to not only supply hardware but to nurture the people who will ultimately build and scale Ghana’s technological future. Identical Ghana Foundation framed the effort as an initial step in a longer-term commitment to education and technology that aims to expand over time.
Representatives thanked attending partners and stakeholders for joining the initiative and called for continued collaboration to ensure the program’s success. The Nsorora Cares Digital Future initiative signals a targeted public–private effort to close digital gaps at the school level and to empower Ghana’s next generation through technology.
