LynneX Ventures has taken another bold step in its ongoing Save the Children campaign, embarking on a two-day outreach to orphanages in Ghana’s Central Region. The initiative, led by the company’s visionary CEO, Ms. Cynthia Raymond, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children and inspiring others to support the cause.
The first stop of the trip was the Nyame Yie Foundation, located in the Mfantsiman Municipality at Saltpond Ankaful. This marked LynneX Ventures’ second visit to the home, following a memorable outreach in 2023 alongside Jamaican reggae icon Hezron.
Founded by Mr. Paul Mensah, the Nyame Yie Foundation provides care for about 100 children—both boys and girls—many of whom have overcome hardship thanks to the foundation’s efforts. The LynneX team was greeted with lively performances, including choreographed dances, poetry recitals, and heartfelt testimonies from children whose lives have been touched by the foundation’s programs.
Ms. Raymond interacted warmly with the children, encouraging them to keep dreaming despite their challenges. Before departing, she donated food supplies and cash support, ensuring the foundation could continue its mission of nurturing and educating the children.
The second day began with a meeting between LynneX Ventures and elders of the Saltpond Ankaful community, including the foundation’s founder. During the dialogue, community leaders outlined the pressing challenges facing the home, from limited funding to inadequate educational resources, and the most urgent priority is to provide clean water for the orphanage, as their borehole has been contaminated and a new source of safe drinking water is urgently needed.
Ms. Raymond listened attentively and pledged to pursue long-term sponsorships and partnerships to help sustain the foundation’s work.
Later that day, the team proceeded to the Graceland Orphanage Home in Bawjiase, located in the Awutu Senya District. There, Ms. Cynthia Raymond and her team were warmly welcomed by the founder and staff, who shared the home’s most urgent needs, including improved feeding programs and learning materials.
Once again, LynneX Ventures provided food items and essential supplies, while Mrs. Raymond promised to return with more comprehensive support.
The two-day outreach reflects the very heart of LynneX Ventures’ Save the Children campaign—bringing hope and smiles to children living in poverty. Ms. Raymond emphasized that the campaign is not a one-off effort but a growing movement to improve the lives of disadvantaged children across Ghana and beyond.
“Every child deserves love, care, and a chance at a brighter future,” Mrs. Raymond said. “We invite government agencies, corporate institutions, philanthropists, and individuals to partner with us. Together, we can help every child reach their full potential.”
With this call, LynneX Ventures is rallying support from stakeholders, donors, and well-meaning individuals to expand the Save the Children initiative, ensuring that children in orphanages—and those living in extreme poverty—receive the care, education, and opportunities they deserve.
In January this year, the Chief Executive Officer of LynneX Ventures, Madam Cynthia Raymond, paid a visit to the Princess Marie Louise Children's hospital in Accra, where she held a detailed and insightful discussion with the Medical Director on the pressing challenges facing the facility.
During the meeting, the Medical Director expressed grave concern over the inadequate nutrition provided to newborn babies due to the shortage of essential baby food and nutritional supplies. The Director further highlighted the need for mothers to receive proper education and hands-on training in baby care, safe feeding, and hygiene practices to ensure the healthy development of their infants.
The Director also lamented that many of the mothers who visit the hospital come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, often struggling with poverty and limited resources to maintain healthy living conditions. This, he noted, contributes to a recurring cycle of poor quality of life, homelessness, and behavioral challenges among children as they grow — perpetuating the cycle of poverty from one generation to the next.
Adding to the hospital’s difficulties, the Medical Director revealed that the facility continues to face a severe shortage of essential medical equipment and supplies required for effective pediatric care.
A subsequent visit by Madam Cynthia to the Pediatric Oncology Center uncovered similar challenges, including inadequate equipment and treatment supplies for children battling cancer. Financial constraints were also cited as a major barrier, as many parents are unable to afford the cost of treatment, leading to delayed care and, in many cases, preventable deaths.
Madam Cynthia described the situation as a national crisis that demands urgent intervention. She emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between government agencies, private organizations, and international partners to strengthen healthcare delivery for children, provide adequate medical resources, and ensure that every child receives the care they deserve.
“We must act swiftly to save lives and give these children a fighting chance,” she stated, reaffirming LynneX Ventures’ commitment to supporting child welfare and healthcare initiatives across Ghana.
