Accra, Ghana - The Malcolm Care Foundation has unveiled its 2025 nationwide blood donation campaign, marking a decade of life-saving humanitarian efforts. At the official launch press briefing,.

This year's campaign aims to build on previous successes, with 30 shops participating nationwide. The initiative seeks to support patients in critical conditions, including mothers in labor, accident victims, and children with anemia.

The launch also paid tribute to the late Mr. Godwin Abenobot, a key figure in the foundation's blood donation efforts. Despite challenges in 2024, the organization remains committed to saving lives through voluntary blood donation.

Ramesh Sadwhani, Group Managing Director, emphasized the foundation's commitment to supporting Ghanaian communities through health initiatives.

In addition to the blood drive, MELCOME has donated 45 blood and vaccine refrigerators to public hospitals, with plans to add 25 more in the coming months.

The blood drive will run from July 23-26, with participating locations including Accra Academy, Ashiaman Senior High School, Appam Senior High School, and Gomoa Senior High Technical School. MELCOM stores will join the effort on July 24, with major mall locations culminating the drive on July 26.

Donors can participate between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, with medical staff providing screening and care packages.

The foundation encourages public participation to help save lives through this critical community health effort.

 Sophia Blankson from the National Blood Service highlighted Malcolm's remarkable contribution to blood donation across Ghana.

Over the past ten years, Malcolm has mobilized thousands of blood donors, facilitating critical blood collection drives from Accra to Kumasi. The campaign has shown impressive growth, increasing blood unit collections from 434 units in 2013 to an impressive 2,184 units in 2023.

The Malcolm Care Foundation continues to demonstrate its dedication to public health and community service, inspiring Ghanaians to become regular blood donors and contribute to saving lives.
