Orphanage Pleads for Government Support to Care for 150 Children

Royal Seed Orphanage Home, led by CEO Nana Naomi Esi Arku Amoah, is urgently calling on the government to provide more resources and assistance to help care for the 150 children under their charge.

In a recent meeting, Amoah candidly discussed the immense challenges of caring for such a large number of children with diverse backgrounds and personalities. "It's not easy at all," she said, "because different different background, different different character, all over comes together, and it's your duty, because we are going to the judge."

The orphanage provides a wide range of medical and social services for the children, taking them to hospitals, children's camps, and markets. However, Amoah highlighted the lack of nighttime support as a critical issue, stating "we have day, we don't have night, and most of the times, we have been facing the challenges in the night."

To address these challenges, Amoah is pleading with the government to provide nurses and teachers to help manage the children more effectively. "Government students come aside and look at me rather they should help me in everything to bring them up. So I need teachers and I need nurses," she said.

The orphanage is also requesting the government to organize workshops to better equip the caregivers with the necessary skills and training. While Amoah acknowledged some existing government support, such as health advice and training, she stressed the need for more comprehensive assistance.

"Government is doing some but we wish it can be more," said Amoah, emphasizing the government's responsibility to support the orphanage's efforts to care for these vulnerable children.

With the overwhelming challenges faced by the Royal Seed Orphanage Home, Amoah's plea for increased government support is a desperate call for action to ensure the well-being and proper care of the 150 children in their charge.
