The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for three individuals, including two local government officials, who are accused of breaking into a private warehouse and a radio station in the Ashanti region Tepa.
According to a the National Election Security Task Force, the police have declared Akapo, the assembly member for Akusia, as well as George, the assembly member for Maban, and Mujid, along with other unidentified suspects, as wanted in connection with the incident.
The suspects are alleged to have forcibly entered the warehouse and made off with various items, including agricultural spraying machines, bags of fertilizers, and Wellington boots. They are also accused of breaking into a local radio station during the same incident.
The police have launched an operation to apprehend the suspects, who will face the full force of the law once arrested. Chief Inspector Priscilla Nkromah-Peprah of the Police Press Center in Accra urged the public to stay tuned for further updates on the case.
This incident highlights the ongoing efforts by the Ghanaian authorities to maintain law and order and protect private property, especially in the lead-up to the country's upcoming elections. The police have vowed to leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of the suspects and bringing them to justice.
