Accra, Ghana - In the aftermath of the country's recent national elections,to maintain peace and stability in Ghana the Ghana police service has Arrested additional 9 suspect in connection with acts of lawlessness, bringing the total number of arrests to 115
According to ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Head of the Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service said the security have reported a largely peaceful security situation across the nation.
addressing the media Grace Ansah-Akrofi provided an update on the measures taken to safeguard the country's stability during this post-election period.
"The police service and other security agencies, under the auspices of the National Election Security Task Force, have implemented effective security measures to ensure law and order," the official stated.
ACP Akrofi noted that the security situation throughout Ghana has remained calm, with no major incidents recorded over the past 24 hours. However, the security forces remain vigilant and have arrested an additional 9 suspects,
The official outlined several security initiatives that have been undertaken, including:
- Intensified joint patrols by the military and police
- Intelligence-led operations within communities to apprehend perpetrators
- Deployment of static security at government facilities across the country
- Continuous engagement with stakeholders to address security concerns
In the update public was encouraged to report any security issues to the police's toll-free number, as the authorities reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in Ghana.
