The chief of Ajumako-Bisease, Osabirima Damfo Baah VII, has called on his subjects to desist from actions that could disturb the peace and unity of the community during the election period.

Osabirima made this call at this year's Abangye Festival celebration while addressing the people at the durbar.

Emphasizing the theme for the 2024 celebration, "Maintaining Peace and Unity for Development in this Election Year," he urged the community to prioritize political tolerance to attract development.

He noted that Ajumako-Bisease has suffered from negative reports stemming from clashes between political followers in previous elections and urged the people to change the narrative this year.

"This year, regarding the theme for the festival, what I can tell Biseaseman is that we should hear positive news. We should vote for people who please us. We should not harm each other because of the election," he said in Fante at the durbar.

Nana Zack and his wife joined the celebration.

Meanwhile, the chairman for the occasion, Nana Zack, called on the people to preserve their rich culture through the celebration of the Abangye Festival.

Nana Zack, the CEO of Zack Entertainment and the Nkosuohen (Development Chief) of Abora Botanyaa, asserted that the community has a rich history and unique features that distinguish the festival from others. He encouraged the youth to actively participate in the celebration to preserve their legacies.

Additionally, Nana Zack pledged to support the development of Ajumako-Bisease whenever called upon, as he did this year by sponsoring the Friday Entertainment, which featured performances by Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, Strongman Burner, Kwaku Flick, and other top artistes.
