Ghanaians National Alliance has called on all independent candidates seeking to contest in the 2024 general elections to join forces to achieve electoral victory.
In a press conference on Monday, August 12, 2024, the group charge other minor political parties to put their efforts together with the independent candidates to form a union government.
Addressing the press, the public relation officer (PRO), Akwa Obodai, said this is the best to give Ghanaians the alternative government they desire, putting the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He noted that the strength of the individual candidates and parties are not enough to win the election; however, Ghanaians have confidence and vote for them if they come together to form one stronger force to face the NDC and NPP.
He continued that NPP and NDC have both failed to deliver on their manifesto; neither have they followed and implemented the good policies of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, which other Africa countries are taking advantage of.
Also, he revealed that the group aims to have only three candidates on the ballot for the 2024 elections, that is NPP, NDC and the alternative conscious candidate from the union government.
To our fellow Ghanaians, we are calling to you all to consider an independent candidate in the next election. An independent candidate will be answerable only to the people, not a political party. They will bring innovative solutions, unencumbered by party dogma.
