Top Ghana music stars are set to perform at this year's Abangye Festival in Ajumako-Bisease, in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in Central Region.
The list of top artists billed to perform at the 2024 Ajumako-Bisease Abangye Festival Street Carnival on August 2 includes the versatile entertainer Kojo Nkansah Lilwin, 2024 TGMA Rapper of the Year, Strongman Burner, and Kweku Flick, Zack, and others.
This mega carnival is being organized by Zack Entertainment in collaboration with the Abangye Planning Committee, led by the Chief of Ajumako-Bisease, Osabarima Damfo Baah VII.
In an exclusive meeting, the CEO of Zack Entertainment and Nkosuohen (Development Chief) of Abura Batanyaa, Nana Zack, confirmed that all necessary arrangements are in place to ensure the success of the program.
He urged the planning committee to take full advantage of the show to project the community to the global stage and advised that the program should not be taken lightly, considering the worth of the stars and the amount involved in putting the show together.
Nana Zack also expressed his willingness to assist the community in other areas of need, even after the festival, motivated by his love for the people of Ajumako-Bisease.
Osabarima Damfo Baah VII welcomed the suggestions made by Nana Zack, describing the act as more than philanthropy, and assured Nana Zack and his team of putting the right measures in place to achieve optimum benefits from the program.
He also promised to ensure the best treatment for the artists during their stay in Bisease.
The festival, which literally translates as 'fencing', is celebrated to count surviving warriors who fought for the victory of the comm. It is also the opportunity to seek the blessings of the gods for the community in the years ahead.
The Abangye Festival, celebrated by the people of Ajumako-Bisease, is considered one of the biggest in the Central Region and attracts tens of thousands of people to the community within the period.
This year's edition, which commenced on July 3 with a football gala, is expected to reach its peak on August 2 and 3 with cultural rites and a fundraising Durbar, respectively. The theme for the celebration is "Maintaining Peace and Unity for Development in this Election Year".
