The Member of Parliament for Bortianor Ngleshie-Amanfrom constituency and Deputy Minister for Information, Sylvester Tetteh, has announced that the newly promoted League side, Basake Holy Stars, will receive significant support ahead of their maiden season in the Ghana Premier League.
The co-owner of the Nzema-based team made this statement when he hosted the players and management in Accra, to express gratitude for their outstanding performance, which saw them win Zone 2 of the National Division One. He stated that the team will see the addition of new players to strengthen the squad that qualified them for the Ghana Premier League.
Aside from this, Hon. Tetteh mentioned that there will be significant infrastructure development at the home grounds in Basake to meet the club licensing requirements. This will enable them to play their home games in Basake without having to move elsewhere.
Additionally, he emphasized that the coach and the Technical team will be given the necessary support and freedom to recruit the right players for the club. Furthermore, he said the club has targeted a minimum 10th position in the league log at the end of the 2024/25 season.
He advised the players to be hardworking and dedicated towards the upcoming season and charged them to adopt a winning mentality.
Veteran coach, Coach Abdul Malik, told the players to recognize that they are at a higher level in their football career and that they should strive to meet the standard in the Premier League. He said the home grounds for Basake Holy Stars at Ainyase will be a fortress for visiting teams when the season commences.
Basake Holy Stars joined Vision FC and Young Apostles FC to gain promotion to the Ghana Premier League for the 2024/2025 football season.
