ECONOMY: NEIP Support 30 Hubs With 4 Million Dollars Grant From World Bank

The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme has granted 40 Million Ghana Cedis (GHc 40m) grant to 30 HUBS in the ecosystem space, under the Ghana Economic Transformation Project(GETP) to support entrepreneurship and innovation hubs.

Speaking at the signing ceremony of the NEIP Hubs Acceleration Grant Programme (HAGP), Mr. Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme, said the hubs will be required to support and nurture the ideas of startups in the country.

To him, the grant programme is geared towards supporting the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem by building the capacities of entrepreneurship hubs and strengthening their growth model to ensure economic transformation and growth of startups in the country.


The NEIP Hubs Acceleration Grant Programme will focus on hubs operating in areas such as agriculture, technology and innovation, light manufacturing and processing, waste and green businesses and technical and vocational oriented hubs.

Madam Ama Duncan, the Founder of the Fabulous Women Network, expressed her profound gratitude to the president of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo--Addo and its government for acknowledging their efforts in the ecosystem space for the past eight years.

This according to her, the money will help them(fabulous women network) to do more mentorship programs to impact more people in the society.
