The National Democratic Congress (NDC) to petition special prosecutor (SP) , Inspector General of Police IGP, Speaker of Parliament over NPP bigwigs involved in Galamsey, following Professor Frimpong Boateng's Report.
They also called for an investigation into allegations of involvement in illegal mining (galamsey) made against high-ranking members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking at a press conference today at party headquarters in Accra, the national communication officers Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi said the NDC shall formally submit a request to both the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana and office of special prosecutor to initiate the necessary investigations into gold mafia documentary as it relates to Ghana and the Galamsey Report of Prof. Frimpong Boateng.
According to him, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, a former Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, who claimed he was ousted to make way for NPP bigwigs to continue their galamsey activities. Frimpong-Boateng also claimed that people at Jubilee House were involved in illegal mining.
