Convention People's Party(CPP) has visited the tomb of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah to commemorate 51st Anniversary of his demise.
The Leadership of the party led by the National Chairperson, Nana Akosua Frimpomaa earlier today met the Chiefs and People of Odododiodio (constituency of Nkrumah) at Doodo Nsaki 11 Palace Otublohum and ask for God guidance and blessings for the Party.
Kwame Nkrumah died on April 27, 1972, while battling cancer. Dr Nkrumah was 62 years old when he passed away.
Speaking to the media, Nana Akosua Frimpomaa said the visit to the Doodo Nsaki II Palace is to ask the ancestors of Ghana, Accra and Odododiodio to be with the Convention People's Party so that the spirit of Osagyefo that is in them will be ignited and live the vision which Nkrumah fought and died in exile.
She called on the youth to come and takeover the Convention People's Party so they can takeover Governance of this country and make a meaningful impact for their children and grandchildren as well.
According to her, the youth of this country has the spirit of Nkrumah within them that is spirit of selfless dedication,the spirit of believe in themselves and the spirit of God creating them in his own image
Nii Oto Blafo, Seintse and Kyidom hene of Otublohum also called on leadership of CPP to reunite and save the spirit that Dr Kwame Nkrumah had, so that they can rescue this country.
