2022 world Habitat day commemorated in Ghana



The Ministries of local Government, Decentralisation and rural Development, Works and housing and national development planning commission has commemorated the 2022 world Habitat day celebration. 


World Habitat Day is celebrated annually on the first Monday of October under the theme: Mind the Gap.leave no one and no place behind which focuses on the state of human settlements and on the basic right of all to adequate shelter and aims to remind people that they are responsible for the habitat of future generations.


The Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralized and Rural Development Hon.Osei Bonsu-Amoah said, the government and in particular the Ministries of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development and Works and Housing as well as National Development Planning 

Commission recommit to make our cities and towns inclusive, safe, resilient and liveable. 


He said they will continue to formulate policies and coordinate the implementation of programmes and projects and ensure the building of resilience and inclusiveness to promote a sustainable environment.
