A Presbyterian Church Retired Catechist for Ramseyer Congregation, Baakokrom in Koforidua, Catechist Amos N Akakpo has rebuked Christians to abstain from going for "petition God for me" segments in 2022.
He clarified that Christians should develop the demonstration of imploring alone with confidence in Jesus Christ than relying entirely upon somebody to appeal to God for them.
Catechist Akakpo in an address to devotees during the 31st Watch Night Service saw that most Christians were cheated in 2021 due to "appeal to God for me," adding; "this should not be your story in 2022."
Akakpo drove believers through a 30-minute segment of petitions named, "Alone with Jesus."
Devotees rehearsed the different stances in supplicating, stooping, sitting, standing, moving back and forth, and applauding as they intensely implored God.
This year, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana pronounced the public topic for the year 2022 as "Jesus Christ, the light of the world."
The subject will be the wheels on which all the Presbyterian Churches in the nation will ride to proliferate the Good News of the Lord.
Fire up George Bright Gyamfi, a Presbyterian Church Minister for the Ramseyer Congregation, BaaKokrom, proclaimed the sub-topic of the congregation for the year 2022 as "Our time of productivity."
Alluding to Luke 13:6-9, he said all Christians were commanded to prove to be fruitful that would endure with the gifts God has given them.
"The Lord needs us to be productive as found in the good news of St Luke 13:6-9," he focused.
Fire up Gyamfi clarified that the fig tree in the previously mentioned message addressed Christians on the planet and would be cut off assuming they don't bear natural products.
"You are the fig tree that was not productive and God needs to cut you off. Would you like to be removed," he tested.
Fire up Gyamfi asked gatherers to assess their activities in 2021 and right their missteps also.
He said New Year's Eve was the final evening in a year that Christians decide to enjoy in the congregation to partnership with each other.
"New Year isn't so much for Christians. It has no scriptural support except for it is acknowledged worldwide and commended," he said.
During the last minutes in the year 2021, attendees were driven through a progression of supplication themes.
The pastor rang a bell to inform believers that they have been guided into the New Year and they sang and jubilated to see the New Year 2022.
