Ghanaian award-winning producer, sound engineer and humanitarian, Awal Alhassan, famously known as Possigee says the Ghana music industry needs support from Ghanaians.

That as per him is the thing that has set off the continuous comparison  between the Ghanaian and Nigerian music industry.

speaking on an interview on TV3 New Day, the  award-winning producer, sound engineer referenced that some Ghanaians don't uphold Ghanaian music because of individual breaks they have with artistes.

He gave an occasion where a few DJs will not play tunes of artistes to elevate their music because of their own concerns with them.

"From a creation viewpoint, the Ghana music industry is deficient with regards to the help from Ghanaians to Ghanaian. A DJ will play more unfamiliar music than Ghanaian music. They will give a reason that they attempted to call this artiste and attempted to holla and he never hit them up so for what reason would it be advisable for them they play their music".
