We'll meet with CLOGSAG to deflect intented strike – Employment Ministry

The Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Relations, Bright Wireko Brobbey, says his Ministry will give a valiant effort to come to a friendly goal with individuals from the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) to deflect the affiliation's arranged strike in January 2022.

As per him, the requests of CLOGSAG require the coordinated effort of a few services and offices subsequently can't be quickly handled albeit, the affiliation is in effect firmly locked in.

CLOGSAG has served notice that it will leave on a cross country strike from January 22, to request better states of administration.

They said in an explanation that, a year later their proposed compensation structure was shipped off the Finance Ministry to manage it, they are yet to convey anything to them notwithstanding tenacious updates.

Yet, as indicated by Mr. Wireko Brobbey, his service is focused on drawing in and proceeding with arrangements with the administration of CLOGSAG.

"We are putting forth a valiant effort in connecting with CLOGSAG aside from that the issue before us isn't one that only one service settle, it is between pastoral. It has gone as high as the administration and alluded to the workplace of the senior official counsel. We drew in CLOGSAG last week and they have given us notice that assuming we don't resolve the issues before twentieth January, they will protest," he said.

The Minister communicated positive thinking that before the final offer, his service would have the option to arrive at great terms with CLOGSAG to turn away their arranged strike.

"The situation is arrangement and we are doing that. We will connect with them right on time one year from now and we will come to a ceasefire. Their call is a genuine call. Among now and the twentieth January, we will give a valiant effort and guarantee that we come to a friendly goal where it is a shared benefit for all gatherings," Mr. Wireko Brobbey added.
