Ghanaian entertainer, chief and film maker, Eddie Nartey has scrutinized the pertinence of the rebranding of the Ghana Film Authority to Black Star Films by the National Film Authority.
Following the declaration of the difference in name, some industry players have communicated dissatisfaction and repeated that the difference in name isn't fundamentally important.
Industry players additionally raised worries that there are additional major problems in the business to be focused on rather than rebranding the area.
Eddie Nartey is by all accounts one of those discontent with the rebranding as he communicated his mistake in the rebranding of the entertainment world and expressed that it won't help any producer.
"With every one of the issues we have defying the film business, is changing the name the most significant? Any kind of future family will not excuse us in case we sit inactive and watch this slip-up occur. So Ya all that sat in as council individuals didn't be aware of dark star film celebration? What. Disgrace," he said.
He further suggested that financial backers ought to be gotten to help neighborhood producers and assist with building the films to develop the business to make it more interesting to more financial backers.
"Welcome on financial backers that will uphold nearby producers and assist with building films so we will actually want to feature our movies to Ghanaians cross country not just Silverbird. How about we gain from the Nigerians. Changing its name won't be good for any producer. We can improve," he said.
"We have genuine issues. You make a film, do multi month exposure and you can just screen it at Silverbird Accra.?
"You need to lease lodgings in different areas before you can screen it there. Indeed you need to do a totally different exposure for that."
The entertainer added that "We should not deliberately ignore the center probs."
