AFCON 2021: "We really want to dive more deeply into such groups" – Milovan Rajevac shields choice to play well disposed against Algeria

Lead trainer of the Black Stars , Milovan Rajevac, says the choice to have Algeria as impact of arrangements in front of the Africa Cup of Nations is to assist the group with setting up the competition opener against Morocco.

The Ghana Football Association declared the incorporation of Algeria as a feature of the three amicable games to be in Qatar in front of the mainland competition to be held in Cameroon from January 9, 2022, to February 6, 2022.

The planned game against Algeria will occur on January 5, 2022, in Doha, two days before the group leaves for Yaoundé.

Addressing Citi Sports about the Black Stars' planned game against Algeria, Milovan Rajevac expressed that the FA picked Algeria since they have a comparative way to deal with football as Morocco, Ghana's first adversary in the opposition.

"The explanation is exceptionally basic, we play against Morocco in the primary game, and we want to play a group that has a comparable way to deal with football. Before the World Cup in 2010, we played against Bosnia since we had a game against Serbia thus it is a similar justification for picking Algeria. We want to look into such groups. Additionally, in light of the fact that I have trained there previously, I know the group well overall."

Ghana is in Group C with Morocco, Gabon and Comoros for the AFCON.
