Accra Hearts of Oak will take a thin 1-0 lead into their CAF Champions League second leg qualifier against Wydad Casablanca on October 24.
The Phobians created an energetic presentation to disturb the mainland goliaths in the primary leg at the Accra Sports Stadium, on account of a first half strike from Isaac Mensah.
Hearts Head Coach, Samuel Boadu, but accepts his side should've scored more objectives thinking about their strength.
Hearts were at real fault for missing several responsibility edged possibilities, with Salifu Ibrahim and Kofi Kordzi the principle offenders.
"It is tragic we were unable to get more objectives, since we had some great possibilities, he said.
"We need to have more self-restraint before objective, and it's something we're dealing with.
"We demonstrated we are an adequate group to stand head to head with Wydad Club. They came in to attempt to move an away objective, however we had the option to stop them," he said.
Hearts, who are making their re-visitation of the opposition without precedent for 11 years will expect a decent outcome in Casablanca to send them to the gathering stages, against chances.
